The international public association “Mutual Understanding” with the partners from Germany and Ukraine has been realizing a trilateral art project “IMAGinE”. It operates within the framework of the “Europeans for Peace” program supported by the German Federal Foundation “Remembrance, Responsibility and Future“.
Young art pupils from Belarus, Germany and Ukraine meet ex-victims of National Socialism, listen to their stories, ask many questions, visit memorials and, for sure, draw. They draw a lot World War II paintings.
The main result of the project will be a large exhibition of their works and a creation of a special catalogue. The first meeting of artists was held in Minsk in October 2019. Next meetings are planned to be held in Ukraine and Germany. Look, what Minsk press write about the first meeting:
