“FAR AND CLOSE ASSISTANCE” PROJECT IS PROVIDING MEDICAL, SOCIAL AND PSYCHOSOCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR EX-VICTIMS OF NATIONAL SOCIALISM IN BELARUS (DONATION OF THE GERMAN RAILWAY).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project realized with the support of the German federal foundation “Remembrance, Responsibility and Future” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. The main target group of the project<\/strong> – are single ex-victims of Nazism, who are in a difficult financial situation, registered and permanently residing in all settlements of the Republic of Belarus, except Minsk and regional centers: Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Note: <\/p>\n\n\n\n The target group can only include persons who are recipients of financial payments made by the “Mutual Understanding and Reconciliation” foundation or who have certificates of former prisoners of fascism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n A lonely citizen is a disabled citizen who does not have able-bodied family members who are legally obliged to support him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Disabled citizen is a citizen who has reached the age that gives the right to an old-age pension on a general basis (a woman 55 years old and older, a man 60 years old and older), a disabled person of 1 or 2 groups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. The project provides for<\/strong>: <\/p>\n\n\n\n 2.1. Persons belonging to the target group: provision of hygiene and care products (for example, diapers, absorbent diapers \/ sheets), medical items (including devices) (for example, wheelchairs, walkers, walking sticks, blood pressure monitors, hearing aids), bed linen; payment for medical operations (for example, prosthetics of teeth, joints, replacement of the lens of the eye); repair of housing and household appliances, plumbing (if necessary – purchase of household appliances, fuel). <\/p>\n\n\n\n 2.2. For 60 volunteers and relatives of former Nazi prisoners in need of care: free preparatory courses (in Minsk) of basic knowledge of the elderly people care.
